PA-003 - Becoming a Master Educator: Understanding How Learning Theories Inform Practice

Understanding theories about how people learn enhances dental education learning experiences. Learning theories are a set of ideas or constructs, and the relationships among them are tested and supported by research. Learning theories bridge research to practice; empowering dental educators to address the practical aspects of teaching, learning and research. This workshop's purpose is to engage participants in activities to understand, apply and discuss specific learning theories to guide course planning, instruction, technology integration and research. Participants will learn key principles of learning theories, gain valuable insights and use learning theory concepts to create dynamic and effective learning environments.
