Dental faculty often face challenges engaging students in active learning strategies, and many institutions struggle to involve faculty in professional development programs that lead to lasting improvements in instructional practices. This session addresses this challenge by outlining a comprehensive approach to revitalizing faculty development at one dental school, empowering faculty at all career levels to incorporate evidence-based, inclusive teaching and assessment strategies. Participants will learn adaptable strategies and tools for conducting needs assessments, designing engaging professional development programs tailored to their faculty's needs and evaluating the program’s short-term and long-time impact using the Kirkpatrick 4-level model.
