The shortage of dental faculty has emerged as a critical issue within dental education, posing challenges to maintaining optimal faculty to student ratios in dental schools. This shortage is compounded by barriers that hinder the retention of dental faculty. It is imperative to establish a framework aimed at enhancing the recruitment and retention of dental faculty. Innovative strategies are needed to recruit and mentor faculty members. Participants will learn about incentive programs to overcome faculty shortages and develop future dental educators. Furthermore, participants will learn about a holistic approach to improve professional development and promote diversity in dental academia.
