This session will focus on sustainable leadership practices for leaders to develop a comprehensive yet attainable strategy to avoid burnout. Participants will identify elements of resilient leadership that prevent burnout and develop a toolkit to recognize and bounce back from burnout when it occurs. This course will utilize the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to explore one’s risk for burnout and create a personalized leadership strategy to maximize potential as a leader and clinician. Participants will develop a Personalized Leadership Toolkit based on the results of their MBI to highlight actionable, evidence-based strategies to burn bright, not out, as a leader.
Learning Objectives:
Identify sources of burnout and consequences of burnout in leadership roles in education, professional practice and one's personal life.
Assess one’s own risk level for burnout using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to uncover levels of exhaustion, depersonalization and personal achievement.
Create an evidence-based Personalized Leadership Toolkit that will serve as an actionable strategy for implementing as a leader to build capacity for resilience and authenticity and avoid burnout.
