The Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID) and CareQuest Institute for Oral Health teamed up to better understand the challenges and protective factors experienced by American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) individuals in their journey to becoming dentists. The insights provided by SAID member students and dentists provided a comprehensive understanding of the pathways and barriers AI/AN students encounter in dentistry, thus contributing to more informed policies and practices for supporting our students.
