Ethics and professionalism have long been stalwart principles for optimal oral health professions practice. Practicing in the current century, particularity post-Covid, has laid bare many areas of practice for new thought and consideration including but not limited to: public health crises, telehealth, mounting inequities and disparities, evolving technologies, antiracism education, gender identity and sexual orientation contextualization, licensure pathways, expanding oral team members and more. Through unpacking the newly revised (2024) American College of Dentists Handbook, participants will outline new strategies for teaching ethics and professionalism.
