Pathway programs are one essential tool for increasing the diversity of oral health providers and ensuring equitable access to dental education for disadvantaged students and students from underserved populations. Participants will learn how three successful pathway programs were designed and implemented at three dental institutions. Using these programs as models, participants will self-assess the feasibility of building and sustaining similar programs at their institutions and establishing relationships with key contacts in their community and at their institution who will support and champion the implementation of effective and sustainable pathway programs.

Learning Objectives:

Identify feasibility of a pathway program at their institution through self-assessment.
Strategize ways to implement a pilot program in the immediate future.
Identify key institutional and community contacts and resources.
