Concerns regarding ethics and uncertainties surrounding the reliability and trustworthiness of various artificial intelligence (AI) models have resulted in the hesitant adoption of AI in dental education. Despite faculty discouragement, students are likely to incorporate AI into their learning. Hence, it becomes imperative for dental educators to equip students with the ethical know-how to leverage AI as a supplementary tool, fostering critical thinking abilities and enriching their educational experience. Participants will collaborate to explore innovative approaches for integrating AI into their respective dental curricula. Participants will identify potential challenges linked to AI utilization and formulate strategies to overcome these obstacles.
Learning Objectives:
Explain the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in a dental hygiene curriculum.
Examine methods to implement AI activities into a dental curriculum.
Identify potential challenges and barriers to incorporating AI into a dental curriculum and develop solutions to address identified challenges and barriers to incorporating AI into a dental curriculum.
