In 2023, the ADEA House of Delegates passed resolution 4H-2023, Climate Change and Implications for Health, Oral Health and Oral Health Education, acknowledging dental education’s responsibility and obligation to train the next generation of oral health professionals in sustainable practice. This resolution underscores the importance of integrating environmental practices into dental school curricula enabling the next generation of dentists to consider and reduce their environmental impact while delivering excellent care. This presentation will discuss strategies for incorporating sustainability into dental education, drawing from literature and faculty experiences and being fueled by student engagement.
